By using our website, shopping with us, making a payment, submitting a form, selling goods to us, entering into a pawn loan, or using a Cashzone service, you agree to these terms where they apply.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy you have under Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
About Cashzone
Cashzone Australia is an Australian family business. We buy, sell and loan against quality secondhand goods through our stores and online services.
Our services may include retail sales, online orders, pawnbroking, secondhand goods purchases, lay-by, loan payments, customer account tools and finance referral options.
Website Use
Please use the Cashzone website honestly, safely and for genuine customer enquiries or transactions. You must not misuse the website, interfere with security, submit false information, or use the website in a way that may harm Cashzone, our customers or our service providers.
We may update, suspend or change parts of the website when needed for security, maintenance, stock changes, service updates or business reasons.
Products & Availability
Most goods sold by Cashzone are secondhand unless clearly stated otherwise. Stock can change quickly across stores and online channels, so availability is not guaranteed until an order or purchase is confirmed.
We aim to keep pricing, descriptions and images clear and accurate. Sometimes a listing, price, image or availability detail may need to be corrected. If this affects your order, we will contact you and work through the next step with you.
Secondhand Goods
Secondhand goods may show normal signs of age, use or previous ownership. This can include cosmetic marks, missing original packaging, older accessories, prior ownership marks or condition differences compared with new goods.
We will do our best to describe condition clearly. Your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply to secondhand goods, taking into account the item type, age, price, condition and information provided before purchase.
Pawn Loans
Pawn loans are handled through separate pawn contracts. Identification, store checks and other information may be required before a pawn loan can be offered or renewed.
Pawn loan terms, fees, expiry dates, redemption, renewal and forfeiture rules are governed by the relevant pawn contract and applicable state laws. Please read your pawn contract carefully and speak with our team if anything is unclear.
Selling Goods
If you sell goods to Cashzone, you must be the owner or have the legal right to sell them. Goods must not be stolen, subject to finance, subject to another claim, or provided with false information.
We may ask for identification and keep records where required for secondhand dealer, pawnbroking, security or compliance purposes. We may decline to buy goods if we cannot complete checks or are not comfortable with the transaction.
Lay-by Terms
Lay-by allows you to reserve selected goods by paying a deposit and making payments over the agreed lay-by period. The deposit, payment schedule, final payment date and collection details will be confirmed at the time of purchase.
If you cancel a lay-by or do not complete payments by the agreed date, Cashzone may cancel the lay-by and may charge a reasonable cancellation or administration fee that reflects our reasonable costs, where permitted by law. Any refund or store credit will be handled in line with the lay-by terms provided and applicable law.
If a lay-by item is faulty or does not meet a consumer guarantee once purchased, your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply. These terms do not remove those rights.
Online Orders
Placing an online order does not always mean the order has been accepted. We may need to verify payment, confirm stock, check order details or correct an obvious error before accepting or dispatching an order.
If an item becomes unavailable, there is a pricing or listing error, payment cannot be verified, or dispatch is delayed, we will contact you with available options. This may include correcting the order, offering an alternative, waiting for dispatch, or refunding the order where appropriate.
Returns & Refunds
Returns, refunds and warranty enquiries are handled under our separate Refund & Returns Policy. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply, including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by store policy or website terms.
A proof of purchase, receipt, order number or other purchase record may help us assess your request quickly. We may need to inspect or test an item before confirming the appropriate remedy.
Finance Services
Cashzone may provide general information or refer customers to finance-related service providers where requested. A referral does not guarantee approval, suitability, availability or any particular outcome.
Finance providers are responsible for their own applications, checks, approvals, fees, contracts, privacy information and service terms. Please read any provider information carefully before continuing.
Liability
We work hard to keep our information, services and systems reliable. To the extent permitted by law, Cashzone is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control, customer misuse, incorrect information supplied to us, third-party service issues, website interruptions or delays that could not reasonably be avoided.
Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy you have under Australian Consumer Law or another law that cannot be excluded.
Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. This may include information needed for customer service, payments, online orders, pawnbroking, secondhand goods records, identification checks, finance referrals, security and legal compliance.
